MYOPIA CONTROL EXPERT

A UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE DESIGN

DRLM night lensesThe DRL lens (Double Reservoir Lens) has a unique inverted geometry design.

Unlike a conventional orthokeratology lens, there are two semi-peripheral tear reservoirs, as evidenced by the fluorescein rings (Figure 1).
It has a central part with a flatter radius than the cornea, allowing the central cornea to be modelled.

Variations in the thickness of the tear meniscus under the contact lens cause hydrodynamic forces that regulate the pressure exerted by the contact lens: when the tear meniscus is thin, it exerts a pressure force and conversely, when it is thick, it exerts a suction force.

Compared to a conventional orthokeratology lens, this design allows for better centring, smoother lens movements, increased comfort and faster treatment.

MYOPIA PREVENTION AND CONTROL

The DRL range offers 2 unique designs to prevent and control the progression of myopia:

HOW SHOULD DRL LENSES BE ADAPTED?

1st visit: order the trial lenses

1. Topography:

Watch “performing successful topographies” video

2 . Precise subjective refraction

3 . Measurement of corneal diameter or HVID (Horizontal Visible Iris Diameter)

4 . Validation of indications:

5. Ordering the trial lenses:

Follow-up visit: after the first night / after 10 nights / after 1 month / 3 months / 6 months / 1 year

The wearer must bring the lenses with them in the case.

1. Wearer assessment: investigate the wearer’s subjective feelings about the treatment and its effects

2. Uncorrected visual acuity + complementary subjective refraction

3. Topography measurements

4. Fluo-images: Successfully taking fluo-images

Instil the fluorescein inside the lens before putting it in place

Place the lens with a mirror laid flat on a table

DRL SERVICES FOR WEARERS

Handling and maintenance videos

Complimentary first step ORTHO K PACK (subject to product availability)

A full month’s supply of maintenance solution is offered to new DRL wearers to support them when they are first testing out their lenses.
Ideal for orthokeratology lens beginners, this pack contains 1 bottle of OXYClean solution (peroxide), 1 box of 30 doses of AQUADrop+ comfort drops, and a suction cup.
Confirmed wearers can then obtain a 3-month ORTHO K PACK including 2 bottles of OXYClean solution, 3 boxes of AQUADrop+ drops, and 1 box of Procare deproteinization tablets.

Adaptation guarantee: 3 months

Emergency support in the case of loss or breakage
Replacement lenses are manufactured as a priority in the case of any broken or lost DRL lenses upon the request of the prescriber or optician – by telephone only – specifying the lens tracking number.

Preferential rates for children aged up to 16 and for young adults aged up to 25

SMS reminder service and special renewal rate
An SMS reminder of the date when lenses need to be renewed is sent to wearers and a preferential renewal rate is offered to them.

INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE FOR WEARERS

DRL lenses are delivered in an individual shipment along with instructions for use.
View and download the instructions

When the lenses are delivered, a guide with information on night wear should be given to the wearer to remind them of the wearing and maintenance instructions.
